so, i was put in charge of manning the beanbag toss this morning. a perfect way to start the day. dane's second grade had a "field day" today. lots of fun activities...a water balloon toss, chalk painting on the blacktop, face painting, "prisoner" (whatever that is) and of course a cake walk. and, if you got the beanbag in the hole you got 2 starbursts instead of 1, so my beanbag game was a big hit with all of the sweet tooths...which
was every single second grader on that field.
they all seemed to get a thrill out of how full of candy their pockets could get. and were very intent on enforcing the rules when it came to their peers. and dane was good about lining up the beanbags perfectly for the next player to begin. such a good helper.

Thank you for helping today at our second grade field day! You were a terrific bean bag toss organizer. I know that Dane loved having you there. I have enjoyed your very special son this school year. I will miss seeing his smiling face. I loved looking through your blog page!
Second grade is such a wonderful year. Third is even better.
oh arent those 2 boys cute! i love my wil :) I didnt know they were in the same class. how fun!
